The "Video of the Year" at the 2013 YouTube Music Awards came as a surprise. When Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber and Psy are nominated it definitely comes as a surprise that the winner is a South Korean girl group Girls' Generation for their video "I Got a Boy."
So who exactly are these girls?
Girls' Generation is a nine-member group with Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun as the group members who formed the group way back in 2007. With four full-length Korean and two Japanese albums under their belt, including 2013's "I Got a Boy," the girl band has a No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums list and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

With the new win as "Music Video of the Year," we are hoping that the sales of their upcoming album will be benefitted.
