"Twilight" and "Robsten" fans will not only be saying goodbye to the film alone this year.

With the latest cheating scandal involving Kristen Stewart, it looks as if they'll be bidding adieu to their beloved "Robsten" duo as well. So what are the latest developments with the Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders cheating scandal?

The cheating scandal would not have been uncovered if not for paparazzi photographs released in US Weekly. Photos show Kristen Stewart wrapped in a loving embrace with director Rupert Sanders. Now, this setting could have been acceptable if not for the relationship status of both celebrities.

Kristen Stewart is known to be the other half of the "Robsten" duo and has been dating Robert Pattinson for three years. On the other hand, Rupert Sanders has been married for seven years to model, Liberty Ross, of which he fathers two children with.

After the photos leaked onto the controversial magazine, Kristen and Rupert issued separate apologetic statements to their shocked fans and bewildered significant others.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," said Stewart in a statement released to People.com

The director of "Snow White and the Huntsman", Rupert Sanders, also followed with his own statement.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," said Sanders, adding, "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

After the said statements, Liberty Ross, the wife sent out a not-so-cryptic tweet via Instagram of "Snow White" guzzling down bottles of bear with the caption, "Not so pretty or so pure after all..." The photo does not even explain half of Ross' sentiments. Fans will recall Ross as playing the mother of the young Snow White in the film. According to sources, Ross felt "betrayed" by Stewart of which she had treated like her own daughter.

Though one side of the world is definitely against the infidelity between Sanders and Ross, Sander's father has a different output to share regarding the matter.

"From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing. I should imagine it was something very brief. She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen. He is very honorable, hardworking and [a] dedicated father and filmmaker. Of course their relationship will survive this. This is nothing, they will definitely survive all of this. It is all a lot of fuss about nothing," says Sander's father.

Well, with the latest news of Pattinson moving out of his Los Feliz home and Kristen Stewart breaking down in front of the paparazzi, one thing is certain - the "Robsten" duo is caput.
