Kristen Stewart Kicked Out of 'Snow White & the Huntsman' Sequel
Very successful Hollywood films usually spawn sequels and more often than not, these sequels do not reach the standards that the first movie have made.
In some instances like "Iron Man 2" , the sequel does reach the standards and maybe even raise the bar for upcoming movies of its genre. Unfortunately for Kristen Stewart, if the sequel for "Snow White and the Huntsman" does make it as big as the first one, the only thing she can do is watch, since it has been reported that she is out of the said project.
Reports say that the supposed sequel for the movie has been shelved, and a spinoff is currently in the works, focusing more on the "Huntsman" part of the title rather than the "Snow White".
"Kristen Stewart will not be invited to return if the follow-up goes forward, reports The Hollywood Reporter. It is being reconceived as a spinoff movie and it is unclear whether director Rupert Sanders will return, though one source with ties to the production says he will." reports Ocean Up regarding the shelving of the movie.
The 22-year old actress had an affair with the "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders, where both have been photographed canoodling inside a car. Currently, Kristen have made a public statement apologizing to everyone who was affected by the said affair, including the fans and her ex long term boyfriend, Robert Pattinson.
Although it is very unusual for studios to just drop actors in the middle of a franchise, it is possible to create an origin story from an existing successful movie. If they did it to the X-Men franchise, why not do it to this one?
"The original plan, according to sources, was to make two films featuring the Snow White character and a third film spinning off the Huntsman, similar to how Fox's X-Men series has spun off Wolverine." continues Ocean Up.
It is unclear to everyone including the people at the studios if the follow-up will be made. The movie had a fair hit, grossing $389.2M on just a $170M budget, and cutting off the Twilight star would save the studio millions.
