Kylie Jenner Takes The Runway For Kanye West Adidas Show In New York Fashion Week
One of Bruce and Kris Jenner’s daughters made a splash on the catwalk and no, this time it’s not Kendall Jenner. This time around, it’s the youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner brood that graced the catwalk. Seventeen-year-old Kylie Jenner walked for her brother-in-law Kanye West when he showed his collection for Adidas during New York Fashion week last Thursday.
“Kanye X Adidas. Thank u to Yé for believing in me,” said Kylie as she posted a photo from backstage at the show. She was standing beside her sister Kim Kardashian who is married to Kanye West. She and Kim were both wearing a brown sheer bodysuit. Kylie had a black oversized jacket over the bodysuit while Kim was wearing a similarly large camouflage jacket. Kylie completed her look with a pair of brown knee-high boots also designed by the rapper. Kanye could be seen in the background talking to Vogue Magazine’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
According to the Mirror, the show was staged by the Hudson River in an industrial space. The fashion show is meant to be the big launch of Kanye’s new line of Yeezy Boost Trainers which he designed in collaboration with Adidas Originals.
Kylie also shared a short video clip from her time on the runway. The models came forward in rows of five. Kylie stood in the middle of her row flanked by two other models on each side. Some of the models, including Kylie, were wearing skull caps that covered their hair.
Other members of the Kardashian Jenner clan were also in attendance to show their support. Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian were present along with model of the moment Kendall Jenner. The family sat in the front row to give Kylie a boost. Kendall has successfully launched her professional modelling career last year and has now walked for some of the most prestigious labels like Chanel and Prada. It remains to be seen if Kylie will also be taking the high fashion route. Just like her older sisters, Kylie has already appeared in numerous magazine covers and has had fashion line collaborations with brands like PacSun and Steve Madden.
