Lord Mayor Clover Moore announced last week that Kylie Minogue is set to be Creative Ambassador for this year's glitter ball event in Sydney. And for the iconic singer, to come home and spend New Year's eve where her roots came from is an amazing dream coming true even if she is actually from Melbourne.

She said that due to her hectic schedules, she ends up staying in various parts of the globe each time New Year comes in but, she never fails to watch all those beautiful fireworks that Sydney takes pride in. She said in one interview that she will never miss this opportunity given her of getting to perform at the 'New Year's Eve Capital of the World.'

Kylie also considers this as the best way to celebrate her 25th anniversary in the music industry and no other ideal way to end the year but to be present for the Sydney NYE celebrations. According to Lord Mayor Moore, Kylie is set to work closely with a lot of creative teams over the course of nine months to come up with a New Year's night that will never be easily forgotten.

She expects that Kylie's participation will add up to the already 1.5 million people straight to the popular harbour which gives in about $156 million to the entire economy of the country. Part of Kylie's responsibilities is to chose the right colours and theme for the event that would be reflected on the fireworks display as well.
