Kylie Minogue says performing on stage is such a huge thrill for her. The Australian "Timebomb" singer also revealed that even after 25 years in showbiz, it has become difficult and sometimes hard for her to come down from all the energy when she stops.

Kylie Minogue says performing is like a drug, that her career is "addictive" and has also joked about "post-tour depression."

"The adrenaline is so strong and it's such a high that coming back down can be terrible. That's why I consider myself an artist rather than a pop star,'' the singer shared.

At the age of 44, Kylie admits that she still gets nervous before her performances and has to calm herself down before she goes on stage.

''I tell myself it is the same for everybody. Without the applause, life would seem very quiet,'' she revealed.

Minogue, who first shot to fame by portraying Charlene Ramsay in the Australian soap "Neighbours" also revealed how she tries to keep her stage persona separate from her everyday life.

''I just take off my glad rags. Without them, I'm surprised some people still look at me on the street,'' she explained.

The Australian singer is known for putting on spectacular live shows all over the world. Kylie has been releasing hit singles since the '80s and insists that the shine has not worn off her job. She may be hooked on the adrenaline that comes with being on stage and performing in front of the crowd. Kylie has also told the latest edition of United Kingdom magazine "Glamour" that apparently post-tour depression has been clinically recognized.

"Your little adrenal glands gear up for that explosion of amazingness! And then it stops and you're like 'What? Who turned out the lights?'" Kylie shared. "It is addictive, doing what I do," she added.

The singer has claimed no bouts of depression but she is bound to have comedowns even with just a video shoot for her songs.
