Lady Gaga Defies Her Critics: ‘I am proud at any size’
Lady Gaga who is an advocate of self acceptance isn't letting all her critics bring her down.
The 26-year-old singer isn't letting any bad criticism about her most recent weight gain affect her. After being photographed during one of her concerts, the singer defends her curvier figure as well as others who are going through the same situation.
The "Born This way" singer continues to strut around in skimpy costumes during her "Born This Way Ball Tour" amidst the 25 pounds she gained. Lady Gaga confidently flaunted her new figure during her concert in Switzerland last Wednesday.
Lady Gaga's confident stage display just came in after she modified her website page and included a sub-category with a name "Body Revolution." The singer admitted that she's battling anorexia and bulimia since she was 15-year-old. Together with her confession, she posted several pictures of herself only in her undergarments.
"Today I join the BODY REVOLUTION. To Inspire Bravery. And BREED some m$therf**king COMPASSION," the singer wrote. "My mother and I created the BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION for one reason: "to inspire bravery."
"This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous," she continued.
Lady Gaga blamed her father's cooking for all the pounds added to her but then admits that she is happier with her fuller figure. In addition, she also admits that her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, prefers her "curvier."
"When I eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks. I'm happy. Happier then I've ever been. I am not going to go on a psycho-spree because of scrutiny. This is who I am. And I am proud at any size," she said. "My weight/loss/gain since I was a child has tormented me. No amount of help has ever healed my pain about it. But you have."
