Lady Gaga's bodyguard "roughed up" a fan in NY hotel party
Lady Gaga's celebratory party for winning the CFDA Fashion Icon award turned into an ugly scene as her bodyguards were seen mildly attacking a fan for taking her photo.
After winning the Fashion Icon award at this year's CDFA awards, Lady Gaga awarded herself with a much-needed gala sponsored by V Magazine and designer Nicola Formichetti. The party held at the rooftop of the Standard Hotel in New York was attended by celebrities, fashion designers, fellow musicians, and other industry icons. It became quite a scene when a fan tried to snap a photo of the singer coming down the stairs, as bodyguards pushed the fellow, threw his mobile phone and 'dragged him back' to the rooftop.
It was said that the singer tried to stop her bodyguards from harming the fan. A witness allegedly saw Gaga saying "What are you doing? Leave him alone!" in a report posted at the New York Post. Witnesses claim the pop star 'looked embarrassed for actions of her security team. The avid fan should be the least of Gaga's problems, as her night seem to have went extremely well.
Celebrities who came were Gerard Butler, and soul diva Pati LaBelle who serenaded the Judas singer with Somewhere Over the Rainbow. CFDA Swarovski Womenswear awardee Prabal Gurung also attended the bash, as well as Hollywood beauty Liv Tyler and ex Luc Carl. Socialite and heiress Nicky Hilton is the center of attention, looking quite intoxicated and wobbly the entire night.
Lady Gaga is drawing waves in the country as she is set to perform on July 13th for the Sydney Monster Ball, an event that sparked a promotional collaboration among top Aussie networks. Tickets for the exclusive event happening on Sydney Town Hall are currently up for grabs, and fans are advised to visit Take40.com and Facebook to find out how to win.
