Lady Gaga’s Fake Fingernail Sold at an Auction for $12,000
A determined buyer, perhaps an avid Lady Gaga fan, acquired the pop singer's fake pinkie fingernail put up for an auction for a staggering price of $12,000. Aya Fukuda, Lady Gaga's personal manicurist, created the controversial fake black pinkie nail decorated with gold glitter and beads.
The backstage crew member of Lady Gaga found the fingernail at the Aviva Stadium after the quirky singer's stage performance. "I noticed an object on the floor of the stage, which at first I thought was a guitar plectrum. When I picked it up, I saw it was an acrylic nail," the unnamed crew member shared to the auction listing.
The following night, Lady Gaga was photographed without the signature Mother Monster claw on her left hand. The 27-year-old superstar is in Dublin, Ireland for her "The Born This Way Ball" tour.
Aside from the expensive nail, the anonymous buyer will receive an additional package that includes a letter from the crew member who found Lady Gaga's fingernail, an Aviva Stadium staff handbook, an event crew wristband, a grey "The Born This Way Ball" crew t-shirt and photographs of Lady Gaga with and without the nail.
Lady Gaga's fingernail was not the only one creating a social media buzz. Her boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, was spotted sharing a passionate kiss with actress Cameron Diaz at the middle of a street in New York City. In the captured images, Taylor and Cameron appear to be inside the love bubble as the "Vampire Diaries" star sweeps the blonde beauty off her feet with the romantic gesture.
However, fans should not be worried and most especially Lady Gaga herself should not be jealous on such public display of affection. Taylor Kinney is currently working with Cameron Diaz on their latest film titled "The Other Woman" with a scheduled release on 2014.
