Leaked Line-Up for Laneway Festival 2012
Australia's finest musical event takes place once again by 2012 but what's this about line-ups already being leaked?
Laneway Festival has long been established as a unique event happening in Australia. With music filled events happening from over five places at five days, it's no wonder it has garnered attention from people all over the world just wanting to be part of the "Aussie" summer festival.
From humble beginnings in a closed off laneway in the year 2004 with over fourteen hundred people, Laneway Festival has picked up the pace from then on. Each line-up has been carefully planned and each band sought out. Laneway is simply about sharing new music and leading change through it. Venues and sizes of the festivals strive to represent urban music like an experience no other festival can come up with.
Again it has got people from Australia and from all over the world with festival jitters because 2012 Laneway Festival is just a few more months away. Singapore is even in on the fun with a Laneway Festival of their own happening on February 12, 2012.
Line-ups for the festival have already been announced last October 11. Expect to see more of Active Child, Feist and M83. The supposed "leaked" line ups about Jay-Z and Blink 182 being part of the festival were cast off as pure hoax.
A complete list of line-ups for the show starting off on January 28, 2012 is available here.
The Festival will kick off at Alexandria Street at Fortitude Valley, Queensland. Look forward to seeing a line-up full of female front acts with Anna Calvi, Feist, Laura Marling and the newcomer from LA, EMA. These female front acts will be playing alongside The Horrors and Girls and belting it out with M83.
Updates on the upcoming Laneway Festival 2012 are posted on the official website. Tickets for the festival have already been on sale last October 19.
Five days of unlimited musical mayhem at five venues that showcase Australian pride. From the banks of Melbourne's Maribyrong River to the lush grounds of the Perth Cultural Center. Laneway Festival of 2012 is something worth waiting and definitely worth watching.
