Spoiler alert! This article contains "Legends of Tomorrow" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the new episode airs.
Previously in “Legends of Tomorrow,” the team went on a mission to rescue Rip Hunter from the Legion of Doom. The two opposing groups did not have their grand clash yet, but the Legends found that Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) was the mysterious speedster with Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).
He is apparently looking for the Spear of Destiny which will establish his existence again. On the contrary, the Legion of Doom discovered a unique technology that can bring back Rip’s lost memories, although the process will require initially prying into Rip’s brain.
To bring back Rip’s memories, they have to send him back to the Revolutionary period. The final scene of the previous episode featured Rip pointing a gun at George Washington. Season 2 Episode 11 of “Legends of Tomorrow,” titled “Turncoat,” will continue the previous events.
The episode synopsis on Comic Book stated that the Legends will discover a new Time Abberation and realize that they have to travel back to winter 1776 to save George Washington and the American Revolutionary War. However, their mission will not go smoothly, which compelled Sara (CaityLotz) to send Nate (Nick Zano) and Amaya (Maisie-Richardson-Sellers) to finish the job.
In the meantime, Jax (Franz Drameh) and Stein (Victor Garber) will have their hands full trying to protect Waverider, who is currently disabled, from their new enemy. They must take on new roles that they are not used to.
Based on the promo video [watch below], the team will try to convince Washington that his life is in danger. Some members of the team also appeared to have been implicated for treason, and was set to be executed soon. There will be a number of action sequences, featuring 18th century weaponry and explosives. Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Atom (Brandon Routh) will also be making an appearance.
The “Legends of Tomorrow” episode is directed by Alice Troughton, while Grainne Godfree and Matthew Maala serve as writers. “Turncoat” airs on Feb. 7, 2016 on The CW in the US. It can also be seen on Foxtel in Australia.
