‘Les Miserables’ Actress Anne Hathaway Seen Injured in Brooklyn
Although her right forearm and wrist was bandaged and held up by a sling, Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway nonetheless put on a happy face as she was spotted walking through Brooklyn to meet a friend for lunch.
Hathaway's representative has assured fans that the injury is nothing serious even though the Les Misérables star is nursing an orthopedic sling.
"She had a minor accident over the weekend and injured her wrist," the spokesperson told the New York Daily News. The heavy bandage mixed with her slim figure and very short hair which was shorn from her role as an impoverished French prostitute in the upcoming film "Les Miserables" made the 29-year-old actress look decidedly frail.
Dressed in a sleeveless hounds-tooth patterned floor-length sun dress, the "Brokeback Mountain" actress showed off her famously white shoulders. She even paired the dress with beige canvas espadrilles and a crocheted beige bag. A burgundy choker around her neck gave the neutral colored outfit some depth while her black Ray Ban sunglasses shielded her eyes from the sun.
It was the first time Hathaway has been seen at home in weeks. The actress has been in London and Los Angeles doing post-production for the film "Les Miserables" in which she portrays a factory worker named Fantine.
According to reports, the actress who will also be seen as the Catwoman in the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" with Christian Bale, was on a 500-calorie a day diet to slim down for her death scene in the "Les Miserables" film.
The movie is an adaptation of the successful stage musical based on Victor Hugo's classic novel set in 19th-century France, in which a paroled prisoner named Jean Valjean seeks redemption. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated "The Dark Knight Rises" hits theaters on July 20.
