LG G4 Release Date Update: Tipped To Feature 5.6-Inch Display
A credible tipster has apparently tweeted saying the upcoming LG G4 will feature a humongous 5.6-inch display. It is worth noting that earlier rumours never pinned down the display specification of the G4. Instead, the screen size was quoted to be between 5.3-inch and 5.7-inch ambit.
Tipster @OnLeaks has tweeted saying the following “Looks like the #LG G4 has a... 5.6' screen.” When one of the Twitter users enquired about the LG G4 release date, the answer to the question was “Can’t say.” Speaking of the device display, the company has added a 0.1-inch to the already gigantic 5.5-inch screen, seen in the LG G3. And the expected screen resolution is reportedly 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. In any case, the LG G4 release date will not be until May, says Phone Arena. Notably, LG launched the flagship G3 on May 27, 2014.
As far as the rumoured LG G4 specifications go, the device will reportedly come powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) processor. When it comes to camera specification, the handset will apparently sport either a 16 MP rear-facing unit or a much-better 20 MP unit with Optical Image Stabilisation support. If reports are true, LG may not opt for a 4 GB RAM configuration, instead, will likely settle for the same 3 GB unit seen in the predecessor. With respect to the memory configuration, there will reportedly be 32 GB of in-built storage capacity.
In addition to the LG G4 flagship smartphone, the tech giant will also reportedly unveil a humongous phablet called the LG G4 Note. And the LG G4 Note release date is apparently pegged for either Q3 or Q4 2015. According to Phone Arena, the G4 Note will be pitted against the well-received Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Adding a cherry on top, the upcoming device will also carry a stylus named G Pen, in the lines of the S Pen styles seen in the Note 4.
Other rumoured LG G4 specifications include a new payment system similar to the Apple Pay and the Samsung Pay and a fingerprint scanner like many high-end Samsung and Apple devices. In any case, readers should note that, the tech giant has not confirmed the LG G4 Note or LG G4 release date and specifications thus far.
