AT&T has started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update to some of the LG Optimus G users on Wednesday. The company has not given any officially confirmation but numerous LG Optimus G smart phone owners at the AT&T community forum utilizing the carrier's 4G LTE network appear to be receiving the Android update.

Last March, it was Sprint who initially improved the Android update on the LG Optimus G with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update from the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It appears that it is now AT&T's turn to upgrade the LG smart phone with the Jelly Bean update and deliver better user experience.

However, the Android update's roll out does not appear to be extensive. The news about the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update roll out was just discussed on the XDA-Developers forum where LG users shared receiving the Android update earlier than the reported April 4 roll out schedule.

The AT&T LG Optimus G Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is approximately 340MB in size which means the LG users must be patient in the downloading and installing process. Aside from the expected AT&T bug repairs and developments, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will offer the LG Optimus G with the Google Now and Project Butter features, an enhanced stock camera application and a faster user interface.

LG Optimus G users will receive as well the renewed notification panel and offline voice typing, a superior stock keyboard and the overhauled Calendar and Browser applications making it a really big improvement from the old Android 4.0 version. The AT&T LG Optimus G owners can manually check the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update at the smart phone's Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
