LG Optimus G vs Motorola RAZR i
LG recently released a new addition to its Optimus line of smartphones, offering a high speed, latest technology and durable device.
At the same time, Motorola has made an addition to its RAZR line. RAZR used to be known for its durable, thin appearance, and strong battery life compared to most mobile phones.
Both devices are powered by the Android OS and has new cutting-edge technology embedded inside these powerful smartphones. Which is more efficient, durable, and overall better?
Design and Protection
LG Optimus G is a third of an inch thick and weighing barely five ounces, making it one of the slimmest and lightest phone available. This smartphone has Zerogap Touch technology which makes its ITO sensor film printed directly on the glass unlike conventional glass sensors. The Zerogap Touch technology also reduces the thickness of the display, giving the slimmest design and sharpest viewing.
Motorola RAZR I has the same thickness with LG Optimus G but a little lighter, at around 4.44 ounces. Its screen has Super AMOLED Advance capacitive touchscreen and its glass coating is Splash resistant. When it comes to overall material, the RAZR I has an aircraft grade aluminium frame surrounding the display and its back is made of KEVLAR fibre.
Both devices are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass to deflect scratches and scrapes. LG Optimus G has an advantage with its touchscreen interface which is also powered by LG Optimus UI v3.0 but Motorola RAZR I brings protection and durability to the next level.
Power and Speed
The LG Optimus G has 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, which makes it one of the fastest mobile phones in the market. It can take great photos with its advanced optics and LED flash and also records videos in Full 1080p HD. For the display, LG Optimus has a screen size of 4.7" with True HD IPS Plus display. Its resolution is 1280x768, which offers clear and easy-to-read screen.
The Motorola RAZR I is powered by an advanced Intel Atom processor that allows the user to jump from application to another, which includes from gaming to text messaging switching, and then moves over to the browser without that stressful lag. This power also applies to its instant launch camera which starts up in less than a second. Its screen size is 4.3" with vibrant display of the high resolution Super AMOLED Advanced display.
Hidden Power
The LG Optimus G reinvents multitasking with its Q-Tasking: QSlide Function. It allows the user to simultaneously see two functions at once using transparent layers to maximize onscreen multitasking. The function allows the owner to capture and share ideas with QuickMemo by drawing or writing over pictures and screen caps by simply using a finger. Another feature is the Dual Screen Dual Play which allows sharing of selective content to a larger display while the Optimus G performs other task.
Motorola RAZR I already has a long battery life and can make more out of it with its pre-installed SMARTACTIONS app. It allows the user to set a rule so that when the phone is sitting idle, the settings will automatically adjust to conserve power, extending the already long-battery life.
The Razr Maxx HD promises 21 hours of talk time, 13 hours of video playback and 10 hours of video streaming without recharging, while the Razr HD provides 16 hours of talk time.
