The upcoming LG Optimus G2 smartphone recently appeared with leaked images and video on YouTube revealing the details of the device. In the video that accound 4Leakz uploaded, the LG Optimus G2 has the familiar round-edge design found in the Nexus 4 with the model number LG-D803 and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

"The G2 is going to be something different, something unique and we have needed to be very creative," Won Kim, the Head of LG Mobile Communication in Europe, said to Trusted Reviews. The reported features and specifications of the LG Optimus G2 include a 5.2-inch Full HD screen display with a possible 1080p resolution, the 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP rear-facing camera.

Additionally, the new LG device appears to have the sleep and volume controller keys unusually placed on the smartphone's back panel underneath the camera lens. The front panel's lower portion displays the LG logo for the Optimus G2 rather than the usually placed physical home button.

The LG Optimus G2 is anticipated to be available with the 3G and LTE networks as well as the different storage selections. It has been previously reported that the South Korean company sent out the invitations for a scheduled event on August 7 in New York City where the LG Optimus G2 is expected to be unveiled.

The LG Head of Mobile Communication in Europe confirmed that the LG Optimus G2 will be launched during the third quarter of 2013 in the United Kingdom. However, Won Kim did not reveal the exact date even the networks that would carry the new smartphone.
