LG to unveil UHD TV lineup at CES
LG will showcase its latest TV lineup at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) scheduled from Jan. 6 to Jan. 9 in Las Vegas. The premium SUPER UHD TV models will grace LG’s booth at the largest consumer electronics trade show in the world.
“We’re confident our newest HDR-enabled SUPER UHD TVs in 2016 will generate much excitement not only in the industry, but also with consumers in general,” said Brian Kwon, president and CEO of LG’s Home Entertainment Company, in a press note.
The premium SUPER UHD TV models, the 65-inch UH8500 and the 75-inch UH8550, will come with an ultra-slim design. Both the models will feature advanced picture quality, higher colour reproduction rate, as well as the top end sound-enhancing features like HDR (high dynamic range).
The LG SUPER UHD TVs with HDR will be on display in Central Hall Booth No. 8204 from January 6-9 in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company is also said to begin shipping its production-ready 98-inch 8K SUPER UHD TV in the second half of the year.
The company will also showcase its top-notch 65-inch UH9500 and 86-inch UH9550 TVs with the “most advanced IPS display in the industry” at the trade show. The units will sport new innovative technologies including the company’s proprietary True Black Panel which minimises reflections and enhances contrast ratio and Contrast Maximizer that “delivers more depth and contrast by separating objects from their backgrounds,” says LG.
The new models tout a commendable rate of colour reproduction. Moreover, LG’s ULTRA Luminance technology enhances contrast between dark and bright areas. Its ColorPrime Plus magnifies the range of colours to be displayed and the Billion Rich Colors enable the devices to render over one billion possible colors.
The company is confident that the new slimmer design concept, innovative colour reproduction and brilliant and broadened colour spectrum will allure the consumers at the CES. The company also announced to unveil its new range of monitors and laptops including UltraWide monitors, 4K gaming monitors and ultra PC gram laptops.
