The Australian hunk sits down and opens up about his relationship with Miley Cyrus in the latest edition of Details magazine.

Liam and Miley met on the set of their 2009 movie "The Last Song" and although their screen chemistry didn't kick off, their relationship sure made it far in real life.

The "Hunger Games" star who have been together with Miley for two and a half years said that the singer/actress makes him "really happy."

"She makes me really happy. When you start, you want to be professional, but when you're filming those scenes with someone and pretending to love them, you're not human if you don't feel something," the hunky actor said.

The couple created a well-publicized love affair as they were often photographed during their PDA moments. Liam shares that as he is comfortable with his superstar girlfriend, he felt the same warm welcome from Miley's family.

"[Billy Ray] is very spiritual. He's just one of the nicest guys. Very accommodating. I've listened to his music since we got together. It's awesome," Liam said there were also foods he had to get used to while hanging with the Cyrus family "I'd never heard of country-fried steak before. It's great! I love fried food."

Hemsworth also defended his girlfriend of the Bob Marley cake and "weed" incident during her 19th birthday wherein the young singer/actress made a lot of headlines.

"She's in a room full of her best friends. And you have one person who comes in there and videos it. The poor girl can't have one night where she can feel safe in her own world. It's ridiculous," Hemsworth said.
