Liam Hemsworth's' Ex-Girlfriend Speaks Up on Engagement
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's engagement announcement last May 31 not only shocked friends and family but fans as well. Now, it looks as if the news also managed to shock Liam's ex-girlfriend, Laura Griffin.
Is there any bitter blood between the two and has Laura really moved on from Liam?
Getting dumped by a boy isn't really a big deal but getting dumped by a Hemsworth is. For Laura Griffin, getting dumped by Liam Hemsworth and immediately being replaced by Miley Cyrus was probably one of the most hurtful moments in life.
"Of course it hurts seeing someone I spent so many years with moving on, especially when I learned from the media," explained Griffin in an interview with Celebuzz.
"Hearing your high school sweetheart - who is the same age as you - is getting married, is a shock," said Laura.
"But at the same time if they are in love and are happy why not? I'm very happy for him." added Griffin.
Thankfully, Laura Griffin is one mature Australian. The engagement between Laura's ex, Liam, and Miley might have come as a shock but the 22-year old Melbourne-born lady had nothing but good sentiments to share.
"He is an amazing person and Miley is lucky to have him!" said Griffin.
While a few fans have their say on Miley and Liam being too young to get married, Laura jumps to their defense saying age really doesn't matter.
"If that person is your person and the world seems perfect with them in it, then yes, I do believe it can work," explained Laura
"If that person treats you the way you deserve to be treated and you couldn't ask for any more from them - and you know the time is right to commit to one another - then yes, I definitely think a successful marriage is possible at this age." said Griffin.
Liam Hemsworth surely has one sweet ex-girlfriend. Despite the fact that Laura got dumped and hurt that Liam moved on so quickly after her, Griffin wished all the best for Liam and Miley.
"Nothing more or less than congratulations," said Griffin, adding: "He would know I meant it."
