Lindsay Lohan on her “Liz & Dick” Movie: ‘I relate to Elizabeth Taylor in so many levels’
In an exclusive behind-the-scenes video for her comeback movie "Liz & Dick", Lindsay Lohan reveals how much she relates to the iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor.
The 26-year-old actress admits that she is a big fan of Elizabeth Taylor and then later on talked about how similar they are on many levels. In an interview with Lohan, she discussed how easily she connected with the role.
"I'm a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her on a lot of levels - living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not," she said.
She also said that like Elizabeth Taylor, who died March of this year, she knows how it feels like to constantly be on the spotlight.
"I personally understand Liz, because you're living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you," she added. "You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life the way you feel you need to live it."
Over the years, Lohan has been famous for her trips in and out of jail, her problematic behavior and her drug and alcohol addiction. On the other hand, Elizabeth was also known by her weakness for men thus resulting to her 8 marriages.
The TV movie which will air on Lifetime this November explores Elizabeth's passionate and raging love story with Richard Burton. Elizabeth and Richard met on the set of "Cleopatra" in 1968 and married and divorce twice.
Playing Richard Burton is Grant Bowler who was also featured in the behind-the-scenes video. The actor praised Lohan and said that the young actress was "excellent" to work with.
"She's pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated," Bowler said.
