Rihanna and Chris Brown may finally be rekindling their "friendship" and they're starting it on Twitter.

After they were both publicly seen sharing a hug at the recent MTV Video Music Awards, it looks like Rihanna and Chris are now more comfortable in communicating with each other in public.

The 24-year-old singer sent a direct mention to her ex beau on Twitter. On Monday, the "We Found Love" singer sent his best wishes to Chris Brown who was due to attend a hearing in Los Angeles. Chris was to provide proper documentations for his required six months community service after he beated up Rihanna in 2009.

Although many were quick to judge the rapper, Rihanna was definitely not one of them. During her exclusive interview with Oprah, she openly talked about her ex boyfriend, Chris Brown, for the first time. The singer tearfully admitted that she considers Brown as the "love of her life" and that they maintain a close friendship.

Well that friendship was clearly displayed recently on Twitter when they exchanged tweets. Several hours before Chris made his appearance in court, Rihanna tweeted him saying, "@chrisbrown I'm praying for u and wishing the best today!"

Shortly after her tweet, Chris responded by saying "thank you so much." But as it appears, Rihanna's message didn't serve him luck. The court found out that Chris smoke marijuana while he was partaking community service in Virginia. It was considered a violation on his probation.

Fortunately for him, Judge Schnegg is not pursuing any further actions regarding his drug mishap. In addition, Brown was ordered to attend a hearing on November 1 to check on his behavior.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was recently snapped while she was heavily drinking at a party in Las Vegas. According to reports, the singer was so drunk that she even vomited at the 1 OAK Nightclub after the iHeartRadio music fest.
