Lorde Present at Taylor Swift's Birthday Party: Replacing Selena Gomez?
Taylor Swift turned 24 last December 13, 2013 and the country crooner gathered a number of friends for one amazing birthday party. However, it was noticeable that one BFF wasn't in the photos shared by the "Red" singer. Selena Gomez was nowhere to be found instead Kiwi singer, Lorde, was all chummy with the blonde singer. Will Lorde replace Gomez as Swift's new BFF?
Friday the 13th was definitely one lucky day for one Hollywood celebrity. While some revel in the disasters that could happen on such date, Taylor Swift was celebrating all great things because it was her 24th birthday. Of course, apart from the amazing last day "Red" tour down under, she had celebrated it with a number of friends including "Royals" singer, Lorde.
The diss that Lorde has inexplicably stated over the past months didn't make it awkward between them. As proof, Taylor and Lorde were quite chummy for photos shared by the former on her Instagram account. While Lorde was having a heck of a great time with the singer, a few "Swifties" were wondering what had happened to her "other" BFF, Selena Gomez.
The "Come & Get It" singer was obviously absent from all the action. Could it be Gomez had known Lorde would be at the birthday and chose not to attend? "Selenators" may recall that the "Pure Heroine" singer had dissed Gomez for her song to which Selena had replied with, "it's not being feminism if you're tearing another artist down."
Apparently, there is a bit of bad blood between the two singers which Taylor Swift chose to ignore. Does this mean that the curly haired brunette might replace Selena as Swift's BFF? A few "Selenators" have already had their say on the social media. Some have already blasted Lorde calling her a BFF-stealer.
Of course, it all boils down to Taylor Swift having called over Lorde at her garden themed birthday party rather than Selena Gomez whom she fondly called a "sister." As for Gomez, the "Stars Dance" singer hasn't spoken up about the "drama" and she certainly isn't one to be chummy with a feminist who had said negative comments over her songs.
