Lorde Turning Into Hollywood 'Royal' Celebrity: 'Everybody wants to hang out with me'
"Royals" singer Lorde is certainly hogging up all the limelight as of late. For starters, the 17-year old singer is making her way to the top faster than the "Haylor" break-up. Thanks to the attention Lorde has got from making it to the Billboard top, a number of Hollywood celebrities are desperate to hang out with her and share a shred of the publicity.
Ever since "Royals" ranked number one on the Billboard, Lorde has been living life on top. The fame and glory doesn't stop there for the New Zealand native. Thanks to the success of her album "Pure Heroine," Lorde has been garnering much attention from the press.
In fact, Lorde might be up for an award at next year's much awaited Grammy Awards. Not only would Lorde have a shot at the award but she's also set to perform on stage.
"This will be the greatest number of people to see her in one place at one time," said Ken Ehrlich, the show's' producer.
There is countless proof that prove Lorde is certainly the hottest big shot in the biz. Yesterday, Lorde's music video for "Team" made its debut on Vevo and due to the number of views it managed to crash the online channel.
"i think you're all overloading the video... let it breathe! Hehe," tweeted Lorde. Also, the singer took to Facebook to explain her inspiration for the video.
"This video was born from a dream I had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen. I dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world full of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. And of this world, I dreamt about tests that didn't need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger," wrote Lorde.
With Lorde basking in the limelight, it's not surprising a number of Hollywood celebrities have reached out to her simply just to "hang out." Of course, Lorde was pretty proud of such fact.
"So many people want to hang out with me, and I'm so conscious of being such a loser. I'm just normal'," stated Lorde.
