Madonna accepts Rocco is not coming back, breaks down at Auckland concert

While performing at the Vector Arena in Auckland on Saturday, pop queen Madonna dedicated her song “La Vie en Rose” to her 15-year-old son Rocco. She broke down on stage stating a mother’s love for her son is the strongest love possible.

“There is no love stronger than a mother for her son. If I talk about him too much I might cry,” Madonna said, her voice cracking as she dedicated the song to her son. TMZ obtained a video of the concert.

The 57-year-old singer hoped that her son Rocco listened to the song wherever he was and knew how much her mother missed him. The tribute came after it was revealed that Madonna had lost the custody battle to Rocco’s father and ex-husband Guy Ritchie. In December last year, Rocco abandoned Madonna’s Rebel Heart world tour and went on to stay with his dad Ritchie in London.

Rocco allegedly missed his flight back to New York and refused to spend Christmas with his mum. It was reported that Rocco didn’t only refuse to tour with his mum, but also didn’t want to live with her anymore. Rocco found life in London more loving and stable.

On Wednesday, both Madonna and Ritchie heard the case via phone after Madonna took the matter to court.

“Frankly, both parties have chosen to live their lives in a very public way and may welcome the publicity, but the child has not. He [Rocco] would like this matter resolved, and the issues concerning him and his family, in the most private way possible,” said Judge Deborah Kaplan.

The case will return to court on June 1 in New York and on Thursday in London if both parties are not able to resolve the issue privately. Reports suggest Madonna has admitted that Rocco doesn’t want to love with her anymore and is in the process of resolving custody agreement terms with 47-year-old Ritchie. Madonna and Ritchie divorced in 2008. Both are no longer in talking terms.

Apparently, Madonna’s world has shattered as she has no clue what made Rocco leave and she won’t stop fighting until she is sure that her eldest son is safe and gets what he needs. According to reports, Madonna has tried reaching out Rocco through social media in recent months. However, Rocco hasn’t replied.
