Manchester United Moves To Third After For The First Time Since August; Doctors Declares Rooney Fit Doctor For Southampton
Manchester United is now on the third place in the Premier League after its recent victory over the Southampton at St. Mary's, where Van Persie guided Wayne Rooney's decisive goal. Rooney was recently declared by doctors fit for the Southampton after his scan revealed unremarkable results.
Manchester United has received positive news about Wayne Rooney cleared of any knee problem after the latter has undergone scan on Thursday for possible knee problems. He was able to join the Manchester United's trip to Southampton.
Louis Van Gaal stated beforehand that he might have named Wilson in the XI for Saturday's victory over Hull had he been fit. The 19-year-old started alongside Van Persie in attack. The manager said that he would have brought the 19-year-old player already on Saturday but he was ill and he can't just risk his player's health.
Considering the seemingly built-up pressure of Van Persie to go to the game and play, and Rooney's rather top preference among coaches and managers, or his being their "automatic choice", it can be easily deduced that the Dutchman would have been easily dropped for Wilson.
The separate injury and illness suffered by Van Gaal's team have been known to many. In fact, and to date, Rooney had just become its 42nd when Rooney received that knock at the close of their victory over Hull.
Finally, from the last news of Van Gaal's injury, he, as the captain, was ruled out of the win over Stoke at Old Trafford. His manager was sympathising in saying that although he did not really think of the injury as something heavy that would render Van Gaal to be ruled out of the win, and was not really expecting such to happen, he is still not Van Gaal's doctor to say so.
In this latest development regarding Val Gaal, it is not set that Rooney should now take his place in the team at Southampton following Van Gaal's test which only proved the latter to be right about it.
