Many high-profile celebrities and personalities often pay Manny Pacquiao a visit every time he trains and prepare for a fight. Recently, Pacquiao gets a surprise visitor when former National Football League, or NFL quarterback Tim Tebow visited the Wild Card Boxing Gym to watch the Filipino spar and hit the mitts.

Pacquiao took to Instagram to share his selfie with NFL quarterback-turned-college football analyst. Tebow, who was born in Pacquiao’s native Philippines, also took to social media to share a snap of his recent meeting with the Filipino boxing icon.

“Good to be with my brother in Christ @TimTebow,” Pacquiao wrote. Tebow, on the other hand, also wrote a similar caption on his official Instagram account. “Awesome being with my Filipino and Christian brother, @emmanuelpacquiao #inspiration,” Tebow captioned the photo.

According to Pacquiao’s spokesman Fred Sternburg via The Associated Press, Pacquiao and Tebow have known each other.

More than a week ago, Pacquiao had another surprise visit from 84-year-old seven-time Academy Award nominated actor Robert Duvall. The veteran actor visited the gym where the Filipino was training. Duvall said that he was counting on Pacquiao to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. Duvall added that he would be cheering for the Filipino.

It has been three weeks now since Pacquiao arrived in the U.S. It is anticipated that he will be training hard in the coming weeks as the date of the biggest fight in his illustrious boxing career comes closer.

Meanwhile, Mayweather has reportedly been destroying his sparring partners as he continues to prepare for the highly-anticipated showdown against Pacquiao. Mayweather’s uncle Jeff told Mlive.com that the unbeaten boxer has been “annihilating everybody.” Jeff claims that Mayweather is a “beast and not the same old Floyd.”

The long-awaited welterweight unification bout between Pacquiao and Mayweather will take place on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao will wager his World Boxing Organization Welterweight belt against Mayweather’s World Boxing Council and World Boxing Association Super Welterweight belts. The winner will also receive an emerald-studded belt specially made for the super bout.
