"Game of Thrones" season 3 is coming and the key players as well as the rest of the cast are back.

For every "Game of Thrones" fan, the date March 31 holds a very significant meaning. Why? It's the date when their favorite medieval fantasy series is brought back on air.

However, for those who are newbies when it comes to "Game of Thrones," having to fast forward everything can be quite confusing. Even names of the characters alone can sometimes be very difficult to remember.

But if you are a "Game of Thrones" fan, you can easily identify any character just by looking at their individual posters. To tease the fans, HBO has released a series of promotional posters that display the major key players in the series.

Apart from the characters meticulously created by George R.R. Martin, the plot for "Game of Thrones" season 3 also thickens. Lead characters will encounter changes and other important names from the novel will also make their appearance.

Winter is definitely coming and together with it are ice zombies. Jon Snow will be seen fighting them in order to protect those behind the great ice wall.

When it comes to Daenerys, she is building an army while she wonders through Essos. She definitely has the charisma and most importantly the three dragons she hatched that were through to have been extinct.

And while talking about the major key players of the "Game of Thrones" series, it would be safe to say now that it is divided to three groups. The "Starks," the evil "Lannisters" and the remaining "Targaryen," Daenerys.
