Maroon 5 Singer Prefers Practicing Yoga over Lifting Weights
Maroon 5's lead singer Adam Levine is definitely one of the hottest vocalists on the music scene today. But would you believe that this band front man has not done any weightlifting for the past five years?
Levine's secret: Yoga.
In "Details" magazine's December/January issue, the rock star shares how yoga has helped him come up with the molds and sculpts that no hunk would ever think possible to achieve without lifting any weights.
Apart from making him feel relaxed, yoga also aids him in transforming his entire body. It was even reported that before the band takes on the stage, the lead singer can be found in a room that is especially labeled "Yoga."
Performing in front of a huge crowd could deplete anyone's stock of energy, but with just an hour of concentrated yoga, Levine still ends up relaxed after the unnatural state brought about by an exhausting performance.
In "The Voice," Levine mentors Javier Colon, but in the field of yoga, he is mentored by Chad Dennis. When asked what is the utmost benefit of yoga to him, he answers, "It's an investment in happiness for the rest of my life."
