After 82 episodes, Ten's MasterChef Australia narrowed down the contestants to three finalists Michael, Alana, and Kate, and as early as now, there are predictions on who will nab the grand prize.

After 13 grueling weeks of culinary competitions, anxiety, pressure, and co-star drama, the three remaining contestants of MasterChef Australia are now facing the most extreme challenge yet: the finals. Television review site Pedestrian TV has dropped their bets on who will take home the grand prize. Will it be the crowd favorite Michael, the sassy mom Kate, or the charming newbie Alana?

Obviously, 25-year-old Michael Weldon has the biggest chance of winning, especially because he has been a tough contender since the beginning of the series in May. His most favored creation is the trio of lamb tapas he whipped up for the Spanish challenge. His skilled ability to effectively perform various culinary techniques placed him at the top of the pack, and it's hard to see Alana or Kate overpowering Michael's cooking in the finals. The website says Michael's chance to get the title is quite high at 3 - 1 odds. Jolly mother Kate Bracks, 36, wowed the judge Matt Moran with a dish, saying it was "the best desert I've ever tasted". Pedestrian TV predicts Kate's chances to bag the prize is "pretty good" at 4 - 1 odds.

30-year-old journalist Alana Lowes from Queensland has the lowest chances of winning. According to Pedestrian TV, the fact that Alana hasn't quite made an impression before the last few challenges won't help her to the top. Despite being the "most marketable" and "promotable" winner, Alana lacks the glimmer of talent that Michael clearly owns right from the beginning. Pedestrian TV puts Alana's chances of winning at 4 -1 odds.

This season of MasterChef has already amassed the support of 1.511 million viewers, with the numbers expected to rise after the finals.
