It takes a close to perfect physique and looks to play as the world's most powerful hero. Henry Cavill, the new Superman, stepped out at the 2012 Comic-Con and impressed everyone at the audience.

Henry Cavill has obviously been spending a lot of time at the gym to be fit for the role of Superman in the upcoming movie, "Man of Steel." He appeared last week at the San Diego Comic-Con panel in high spirits and perfect physique as he addressed questions from the hardcore comic geeks.

The 29-year-old actor has definitely proved that he is the right man to play the iconic role of "Superman," the role that belonged to Christopher Reeve for a long time. He stepped out looking every inch toned thanks to his grueling two-hours a day workout.

Henry received a warm standing ovation as he arrived on stage to talk about his excitement in playing what is arguably one of the most important superheroes of all time. He also expressed his desire to reach a wider demographic for the "Man of Steel" film set for 2013.

"It's for everyone else out there as well who hasn't quite experienced what Superman can be, hasn't gone through comics books, hasn't felt that world and seen how it changed," Cavill said. "And with this, hopefully it can bring a modern version which everyone can associate with."

Director Zack Synder played up the importance of the Superman character even mentioning details about a possible "Justice League" movie. If it pushes through, the film would follow the superhero movie trend that "The Avengers" started.
