Michelle Levy: 11-Year-Old Girl Left Family Home On Glenayr Avenue Due To Argument With Parents
Couple Adam and Anne Levy are currently happy and relieved that their 11-year-old daughter, Michelle, has been found alive and safe after she left their family home on Glenayr Avenue, North Bondi last Saturday, Oct. 25. The parents of the young girl revealed that they let their daughter leave home to cool down from an argument that they had that evening.
According to a Sydney Morning Herald report, this is not the first time for Michelle Levy to run away from home. Anne Levy shared that they started to get worried and look for their daughter when the young no longer returned to their home or even showed up at her parent's neighboring home.
"It was a discipline issue," Adam Levy revealed. However, Michelle's father does not want to further disclose what the family argument was about.
"We don't want to embarrass her by having the details broadcast," the father stated. Adam Levy recounted that his daughter came back from a party on Saturday night but they did not get the chance to talk to her because they already got straight into the argument.
Anne Levy confirmed to the Daily Telegraph that her daughter is happy, healthy and in good condition. Meanwhile, Adam Levy believes that the person who came across his daughter the first night she was missing tried to speak to the little girl into coming home.
"I am not sure who the person is that came across her. The person contacted someone else and that person contacted us directly. We then informed the police," Adam shared. The police revealed that Michelle Levy was found at a unit in Mulwarree Avenue, Randwick where she stayed at for a couple of nights.
"Detecitves are speaking with Michelle and her parents to see if we can ascertain her movements over the last couple of days," Detective Superintendent Jason Box stated. The officers conducting the investigation believes nothing "suspicious" happened during the time Michelle Levy went missing and the young girl was under the care of the unnamed man who found her.
The police have interviewed as well the man who let the missing girl stay in his Randwick unit. The man, believed to be in his 50s, has been released without charges filed against him.
