EverQuest mimics Minecraft construction and exploration
Sony will be releasing a new game later this year, and this time, it hopes to deliver the same experience of creating worlds and exploring them--something that Minecraft has been delivering its fans since it was first released as an indie game.
EverQuest Next - Landmark, according to VG 24/7, makes use of design tools that would allow you to build worlds. However, the catch is that you will need to gather resources by exploring the different continents in the game.
Exploration is more than just walking around for the sights, as you can claim a landscape as your own by marking it with flags, and your creations will then be submitted to the Player Studio.
In addition, EverQuest Next - Landmark takes creation to the next level, which is a plus for those who want to make something out of their talent.
If your creation is great enough and earns a following from fans, they can download the creation and you'll be paid for what you have created. Payments can be made, and you can get royalties whenever a player makes use of a feature that you created.
Overall, it is a collective experience of sharing and imagination, where you can create worlds and share them with those who have the same passion as you do. It seems that Sony sees this game as a chance to create a record in online gaming, wherein the collaborative effort of many can turn it into a milestone.
So if you are looking for another build and explore game with the flavor of Minecraft, EverQuest Next - Landmark may be that game. And you might stand to get something out of your creativity and knack for building stuff up.
