When the Minecraft Xbox One Edition was announced, many feared that it will be time to say goodbye to the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, a game that has been touted as one of the favorites and a bestseller exclusive to the Xbox 360.

However, it seems that there's still a lot in store for the current generation of Minecraft, and developer 4J Studios has already affirmed this.

DLCentral reports that a tweet from the developer assured gamers that not only will the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition Title Update 12 be released, but there will be many more to look forward to after that.

"Lots of people are asking if we'll continue updating #MinecraftXBLA after the release of #MinecraftXbox1. Yes, we will!" said the developer in the tweet.

Aside from the TU 12, there's also a Skin Pack 5 in the near future, though any concrete release dates have not yet been revealed.

As for the transfer saves from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to the Xbox One, there has still been no word from Microsoft, who is still in talks with the developers as to how this would commence.

Gamers craving for more of Minecraft Xbox 360 is not a surprise, considering that it has been reported to be breaking records in sales as the fastest-selling game via console in the US.

According to GameSpot, the physical edition of the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has been on sale earlier this month, and had already sold 6 million units.
