Misha Collins: 'Supernatural' Actor Reacts To 2015 People's Choice Awards Win On Twitter, Says 'Thank You' To The Fans Who Voted
"Supernatural" cast member Misha Collins, who portrays the angel Castiel in the CW TV series, won the "Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor" category at the 2015 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, Jan. 7. The 40-year-old actor gave his reaction to his recent win on Twitter before expressing gratitude to the fans that showed support and voted for him.
"Wait, i won a PCA? WTF? Well, i'm back to thinking this vote was rigged. I'm not even an actor (or a sci-fi/fantasy.) PS: Thank you guys," Collins posted on his Twitter account @mishacollins on Thursday, Jan. 8, to his more than one million followers. Misha Collins' win at the 2015 People's Choice Awards serves as proof that the fans like him and his character in "Supernatural" even though the actor joined the show in season 4.
Then, Misha Collins posted another message expressing gratitude to the "Supernatural" fans because he actually won and defeated his co-stars Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) and Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) in the category. "Seriously, thank you guys. They give these things to real big shots, like @TheEllenShow & @RobertDowneyJr & @JensenAckles! Kinda cool," the CW star tweeted.
According to a Socialite Life report, Misha Collins returned to Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday night, Jan. 7, to film his scenes on the rest of the episodes of "Supernatural" Season 10. The mid-season finale episode titled "The Things We Left Behind" had Dean asking Castiel to take him out once he goes down on the dark path again because of the Mark of Cain affecting him. The angel saw what Dean meant in the ending scene of the mid-season finale episode where he killed several men because of the Mark taking over him.
Another storyline for the angel character is his relationship with Claire Novak (Kathryn Love Newton), the troubled teenage daughter of Castiel's vessel Jimmy Novak. "Supernatural" Season 10 returns on Tuesday night, Jan. 20, at 9 p.m. ET on the CW Network with episode 10 titled "The Hunter Games."
