Miss Spain wins Miss World 2015 competition
Miss Spain, Mireia Lalaguna Royo, has won Miss World 2015.
The 65th edition of Miss World was held in China’s Beauty Crown Grand Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 19. The pageant's theme was Beauty with a Purpose, and over 110 contestants were vying for the coveted title. Miss Spain beat them to be crowned 2015 Miss World. Miss Russia, Sofia Nikitchuka, grabbed the first runner-up spot, while Miss Indonesia, Maria Harfanti, was announced the second runner-up.
When this year's winner was asked why she should be crowned this year's Miss World during the Q&A portion of the competition, she answered, "I believe in a strong winner, I think i have something inside my heart, that I can show the world."
Meanwhile, the winners of Miss World 2015's challenge events include: Miss Philippines, Hillarie Parungao, who won the Multimedia Award, 2015 Miss World winner, Miss Spain, nabbed the Top Model award and Miss Indonesia, Maria Harfanti, won the competition's Beauty with the Purpose awar. Vietnam's Tran Ngoc Lan Khue won this year's People's Choice Award.
Countries who made it to Miss World 2015's Top 20 list include Russia, Indonesia, Philippines, Jamaica, Guyana, France, Lebanon, South Africa, Spain, Australia, Netherlands, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Poland, New Zealand, China, South Sudah, Scotland, Ecuador and Northern Ireland. And Spain, Russia, Indonesia, Lebanon and Jamaica made it to the Top 5.
Miss Spain was crowned by 2014 Miss World, South Africa’s Rolene Strauss.
