Miss Universe 2013 pageant is about to take place in a few days and the contestants are now doing the best they can to prepare for the final night.

While there are several preliminary rounds that will take place before the final winner is decided we cannot forget that the most looked forward round is the evening gown round. We all know by now who will be wearing what gown on the D-day as the Miss Universe Website has displayed the contestant's pictures in them. There is one contestant who is pretty popular and is a strong contender for Miss Universe 2013, but her gown is not getting good reviews. We are talking about Miss Philippines Ariella Arida.

Ever since the Miss Universe Website displayed pictures of the 86 of the world's most beautiful women in their evening gowns, social media is going crazy over whose gown is the worst and who's the best is.

Miss Philippines Ariella Arida's gown is a dark blue, off-shoulder, long gown which has some design on the front in sliver sparkles. The evening gown is reportedly designed by Madam Stella Araneta. Arida's bright blue gown which is a little simple as compared to the gowns worn by other beauties in comparison.

"Seriously????there's only 3 or 4 gowns that really standsout for me...but i was so disappointed with miss philippines gown...it seems like, ughh!!!!!there should be better that fits her perfectly and can define her as beauty extraodinaire...pls change it!!!!i still love miss philippines though," writes one fan Abel Madriaga Sinogbuhan on Missosology Facebook page.

Missosology, the online news site for coverage of Miss Universe contest, has asked opinion about Miss Philippines gown along with its picture saying, "WEAR IT or BURN IT? Miss Philippines Ariella Arida's most highly criticized gown" and the response has been mixed. Some of Ariella's fans believes she deserves a better gown and she should rather "burn it."

"In other words burn it," writes Sarah Davidson on Facebook page.

"Let's face it. this gown is a trash. why not give her the best gowns that she really deserves? yes she can "carry" that gown well but she would look more regal and elegant if she wore something BEAUTIFUL not only for Filipinos but specially to the judges and to the world," writes Mishka Yasuda on Facebook, criticising the gown.

However there are other fans of Arida who feel that Miss Universe is not about outer beauty and clothes but how the person comes as a complete package.

"Again...miss universe isnt just about how gorgeous she in her gown or how pretty she is in a picture....its also about how you handle tough things with grace under pressure....miss philippines was tremendously bashed by many and yet she was able to manage her self with dignity...go ahead, burn the gown!!!!cause its just a freakin gown....we know that miss philippines has more to offer than the others...watch out!!!!," writes Abel Madriaga Sinogbuhan on Facebook.
