The 64th edition of the Miss Universe pageant has announced its top 15 semi-finalists at the grand finale event in Las Vegas, U.S.

The top 15 contestants of Miss Universe 2015 are from Curacao, Belgium, Japan, Venezuela, South Africa, Colombia, Thailand, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, Philippines, France and USA. Monika Radulovic is representing Australia in the pageant

The semi-finalists were chosen based on their performances in swim suit, evening gown, national costume rounds, as well as one on one interview with judges

The Miss Universe Final is taking place at the Axis, Planet Hollywood Resorts and Casino, Las Vegas where a total of 80 contestants are vying for the coveted title. One will be crowned by the reigning Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega of Columbia.

From the top 15, five of the top contenders will be selected for the final round.

Meanwhile, Miss Thailand, Aniporn Chalermburanawong, won the best national costume title.

The event is being telecast live by 7TWO in Australia.
