'Modern Family' star Ariel Winter happy to wear 'age-appropriate' dresses after breast-reduction surgery

“Modern Family” star Ariel Winter is living her dream of looking young and wearing age-appropriate clothes after her recent breast reduction surgery. The 16-year-old admits she feels like a “new person” after the major change her body went through.

The teenager is happy that she can now wear clothes of her choice. "It's an amazing feeling to feel confident in myself and in my own skin, wearing what I wanted, putting on a bikini and not feeling like I was going to walk around and everyone was going to be staring being like, 'Are you serious?' I feel like a new person," she told E! News.

For her red carpet appearance, Winter looked glamorous in an all black, velvet jumpsuit, which showed off her new curves. She told E! News earlier that it was very difficult for her to get ready for any red carpet event because of her body shape.

"There was so little that I could wear that was age-appropriate,” said Winter, adding that she would always end up wearing “super tight and form-fitted” dresses on all the events because everything else looked bad on her.

The starlet and her high school sweetheart Laurent Claude Gaudette posed happily for the pictures on Friday night. The couple attended the Teen Vogue's 13th Annual Young Hollywood Issue Launch Party and looked happy in each other's company.

The actress is happy that her boyfriend is “so supportive” of all her decisions and she is happy to be in love with him. The two met in high school and Winter initiated a conversation with him through texting him.

“It’s so awesome to be in love with somebody who’s so supportive and wonderful and just somebody who’s also your best friend,” Winter told Us Weekly.
