'Modern Family' Star Ariel Winter May Go To Law School
“Modern Family” star Ariel Winter is contemplating going to a law school. The recently emancipated star said she is now looking at colleges she can attend after she graduates from high school.
In an interview with E Online, Winter shares that she is already graduating from high school next year and as early as now, she is checking out colleges for her higher education plans. "I toured around schools in California and I'm going to take a tour of East Coast schools," Winter shared. She added that she is considering both business and law, as these were the career paths that she is most interested in. She also explained why she is thinking about college when she already has a booming acting career. For her, acting would also be something she loves to do but it is also equally important to do “something else as well,” especially since the acting industry is not that stable in the long run. "You never know if something's not going to work out, if one day acting is like, 'No, we don't like you anymore!' You gotta have something else you can do," she explained.
On Friday, the actress shared the news of her being officially emancipated after all the legal drama she had been embroiled in. She thanked her father and sister for the support they gave her since the legal battle started.
It can be remembered that she accused her mother, Chrisoula Workman of both physically and emotionally harming her and as a result, she had been residing at her sister Shanelle Gray's place and care since 2012. The mother denied all the accusations.
It is not only her father and sister who are supportive throughout her ordeal. Her “Modern Family” family also supported her, especially her on-screen mother, Julie Bowen. According to Bowen, Winter worked hard to get the emancipation and she is now doing good. Bowen added that she is proud of Winter because she has grown into a mature young woman, after the trying period of her life.
