Lily Collins, who stars as Clary Fray in the upcoming film adaptation of "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones", has graced the cover of Seventeen Magazine. For the magazine's September issue, Phil Collins' famous daughter opens up about her personal style and set secrets from Cassandra Clares best-selling novels turned film.
The September 2013 issue of Seventeen Magazine is set to hit newsstands by August 6. One thing is for sure, "Shadowhunters" and fans of Cassandra Clares' novels "The Mortal Instruments" would want to get their hands on this. In the latest issue, Lily Collins opens up about her personal style, her Hollywood idols and a few set secrets of "City of Bones."
"I've definitely edged-up my style a little but not for any reason other than I'm experimenting with myself. I always wanted tattoos, so this past November, I got two. I got my back done first its my handwriting and it says, Love always and forever," stated Collins.
Collins has long been a fashion icon since the debut of "Mirror Mirror" but she'd be one of Hollywood's "It" girls by the time "TMI: City of Bones" debuts on the big screen by August 21, 2013. Of course, like any other Hollywood star, Lily had a few idols to look up to of which include "Hunger Games'" Jennifer Lawrence and "Twilights'" Kristen Stewart.
"I admire how they've both handled the fame that came with those roles and their ability to step outside those roles and do other projects. That's what I want to do balance fun big movies with gritty passion projects I love," explained Collins.
As for a few set secrets, Collins definitely prepped up for the role of Clary Fray by diving head first once more into the books written by Cassandra Clare.
"I re-read the first book again [before filming]. I definitely did my research with the book. I talked to [author] Cassandra Clare about it, but the rehearsals were what really got me into Clary's mindset. It was more about being on set, living in the moment, and seeing what came to me," stated Collins.
