Although she is already 56, singer La Toya Jackson believes it is not too late for her to celebrate yearly Mother's Day. However, the sister of the deceased King of Pop Michael Jackson is not becoming a mum by giving birth the natural way but through adoption.

Huffington Post reports that La Toya just visited an adoption agency with her best friends, Kathy Hilton.

To give La Toya sufficient time to practice being a mum, Kathy gave her a mechanical baby that had panels on its back opened by electronic keys to trigger action such as feeding, diaper changes and burping.

La Toya's plan to adopt a child was featured in her new reality show Life With La Toya which airs Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. ET on OWN.

The Jackson sibling was married to Jack Gordon for over 14 years and divorced him because of abuse. Due to her experience in an abusive marriage, she is supporting battered wives seeking escape from abusive marriages.

Since she was divorced in 1996, La Toya said she had always been single and stayed away from dating. However, part of her reality show is documenting her return to the dating scene.

The Jackson family in once more in the headlines because of the $40 billion lawsuit filed by the family matriarch, Katherine Jackson, and Michael's three children - Prince, Paris and Blanket - against AEG, the producers of the deceased singer's London concerts.

La Toya has her own troubles, having been fired by Donald Trump in Celebrity Apprentice and facing a lawsuit over remarks she said that Omarosa allegedly pulled the plug of her deceased partner, Michael Clark.
