Motorola Droid Razrs vs Samsung Galaxy S3: Do Razrs Give Users Better Google Android Experience?
Motorola introduced its latest range of Droid Razr smartphones. The company claimed that its smartphones is different from other Android-based smartphones.
Motorola boasts pure "Google Experience." The new Razr HD and Razr M feature surprisingly few user interface customisation compared with Motorola's nearest competitors in the Android space.
After recently being acquired by Google, Motorola will become the face of the Android experience, according to senior vice president of product management Rick Osterloh.
"Next year, our aim will be to be as close to the Android experience as we can be. We think users love the Android experience, so we're going to try to give them [that], and it helps with our strategy to get updates to market as soon as possible," said Osterloh
What Osterloh trying to explain is that Motorola smartphones offered Google experience like the Google Nexus 7 while allowing users to customize the device according to their needs.
The star of the launching event is the Motorola Droid Razr M. The smartphone is equipped with 4.3 inch screen display. It is powered by Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage.
It has 3 megapixel front camera and on the back a back-facing 8MP camera with flash. Razr M has NFC, and a powerful 2000 mAh battery that Motorola says can last up to 20 hours on one charge and has 4G LTE connectivity.
Motorola said that almost all of its devices will be upgraded to the latest Android software - Jelly Bean. However, there are some smartphones that cannot be upgraded to Jelly Bean without decreasing the performance of the gadget. Thus, the company is giving $100 credit to users whose devices cannot be upgraded to Jelly Bean for the purchase of newer Motorola smartphones.
Motorola smartphones may be a strong contender against the most popular Android smartphone to date - Samsung Galaxy S3.
Motorola announced that the devices will be available on retail stores before the holidays. The Razr M will go on sale in the US next week and in Australia later this year in the fourth quarter on Telstra. By that time, Motorola handsets are probably equipped with Jelly Bean software.
