Motorola Moto M release date, news & update: AnTuTu hints at a MediaTek chipset instead of Snapdragon
AnTuTu has reportedly revealed some specs and features of the Motorola Moto M and the handset will be supposedly powered by a MediaTek MT6755 chipset (Helio P10) and a Mali-T860 GPU.
Previously a MediaTek MT6750 processor was hinted. Next, whispers about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 were heard. Now the AnTuTu leak has hinted a MediaTek processor, writes GSMArena.
Moreover, the Motorola Moto M could be released on Nov. 8. As per the leak, the handset will have a 5.5-inch Full HD LCD screen, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. However, there may also be a 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option too for keeping up with Motorola’s typical customization approach.
The Motorola Moto M will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, likely upgradable to Android Nougat. In terms of camera, the handset is expected to feature a 16MP primary snapper and 8MP secondary camera. It may also feature a 5,100 mAh battery.
The Moto G and Moto E smartphones took the market by storm and now they are going to get a new sibling, the Motorola Moto M. Tech enthusiasts are excited about the full-metal headset. Some also believe that the talk-time for the handset could be up to 78 hours.
As per Mobile & Apps, one variant of Moto M may come with a 64GB/128GB internal storage option and 4GB RAM and that would be exclusively for the Chinese market. The other variant for the international market may have a choice between 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/128GB internal storage option.
The microSD slots will be made available in all models. Noise-cancelling microphones, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 1.5W speaker have also been hinted by various leaks.
While nothing has been made official by the smartphone maker, it is hard to know the truth behind these rumours. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on Motorola Moto M.
