Razer Blade has paved the way for more laptops catering to gamers. The Blade Pro herald a new wave of devices to hit the market. This time, MSI wants to challenge and get a part of this market with the ultra-thin GS70 gaming laptop.

Looking at the ultra-thin design and the high-end hardware of the device, it is safe to say MSI is ready to give top runners a run for their money. It is extremely slim for its category and this will definitely capture the attention of people.

MSI has prepared GS70 to compete with some of the top contenders of the market. Its price starts at $1799. The device measures around 21.5 or 0.85 inches thick and weighs around 2.6kg or 5.73 lb. It runs of Windows 8 supported by excellent internals like the Intel Haswell Core i7-4700HQ processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M 2 GB GPU. MSI has also included the 16 GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM for more excellent performance.

The GS70 features a 17.3-inch display with anti-reflective capacities. It offers complete pixel resolution at 1920 x 1080. Users can choose to output in three displays. This means up to 4k resolution using the built-in Mini Display Port and the HDMI. Connectivity options include four USB 3.0 ports, 720p webcam and three audio jacks.

MSI made sure it included two excellent cards on board: Killer N1202 2x2(a/b/g/n) and Killer E2200 Game Networking. The device comes with a SteelSeries keyboard. This has an anti-ghosting technology as well as color backlighting. GS70 features a six-cell 120w battery. The unit still needs to go through testing to check how long it can last on the average.

MSI installed a dual fan thermal solution to ensure the machine does not overheat. The system extracts heat from the laptop's top then dissipates air in a 45-degree upward angle. The company claims this ensure an excellent and cool gaming experience.

People can choose from two versions. One for $17999 and the other for $1999 - the more affordable option offers 750GB HDD plus 128GB SSD whereas the more expensive choice offers 1TB HDD plys 128GB SSD RAID.
