Natalie Portman honored Best Actress Award for "Black Swan" at 83rd Academy Award
Pregnant Portman defeated Kidman, and three others in the Best Actress category at 2011 Oscars
A heavy favorite for this year’s Oscars, actress Natalie Portman has bagged the Best Actress Award for her role as an obsessed, paranoid ballerina in “Black Swan”. This is Portman’s first win in two nominations for Oscar’s major categories.
Portman has defeated other A-list actress in the leading role including, Annette Bening – for “The Kids Are All Right”; Nicole Kidman for “Rabbit Hole”; Jennifer Lawrence for “Winter's Bone”; and Michelle Williams for “Blue Valentine”.
In accepting the award, Ryan Nakashima of the Associated Press noted that the very pregnant Oscar winner had her fiance’s help, Benjamin Millepied to get to the stage.
"I truly wish the prize ... was to get to work with my fellow nominees," the 29-year-old actress said, according to Reuters.

Millepied is the choreographer for Black Swan and whom Portman said in her acceptance speech has ‘given her the most important role’ in her life.
Millepied and Portman met on the set of "Black Swan" and they announced the actress’s pregnancy in December last year.
Portman has been a favorite for this year’s Oscars after sweeping all the awards for the leading role in almost all high-profile award giving bodies such as the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globe awards, among others.
Her first Oscar nomination was in 2004 for the supporting actress category in “Closer”.
