'NCIS: Los Angeles' takes weeklong break; promises a more intense mole situation in next episode
Original air date: Sundays on CBS
The mole will continue to wreak havoc in the upcoming episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” as it goes straight to its next target -- the team itself. With that, Hetty (Linda Hunt) and the rest of the team would have to do something to wake up from this nightmare.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “NCIS: Los Angeles” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the next episode airs.
Previously, Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) woke up shaky, confused and with a blurry memory. He later on realises that his hands are bloody; only to find Heather Wilson (Gretchen Palmer) lying on the ground in front of him. While checking for a pulse, the LAPD break in. Heather does have a pulse but suffered a blunt force trauma to the head.
Things get messed up a little later when two members of the same team get arrested on the same day. They have been hunting the mole for quite some time already and, later on, they learn that the mole itself is heading straight for them.
In the next episode, the mole will continue to wreak havoc on the team. Whether or not Hetty and the others can do something about this remains to be seen. Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J), Granger (Miguel Ferrer) and Deeks (Eric Olsen) will continue to search for answers, but the government has no reason to believe they are innocent -- unless and until they have proof of the identity of the mole.
The official synopsis provides that Hetty will be going rogue as she leaves the NCIS team completely in the dark, and the mole will be kidnapping one of the agents. Although this synopsis is very short, it is direct as to what bad things could be expected for the next “NCIS: LA” episode.
What is exciting about this is that the show appears to have no restrictions when it comes to making issues serialised. It is very straightforward with the story and it makes perfect sense when one considers the trajectory of the mole as an adversary.
"NCIS: Los Angeles” airs every Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS. It also airs every Tuesday at 10:15 p.m. on the TEN Channel in Australia. The series took a break last week and is expected to return to the small screen on January 29.
