As Ramsay Street residents try to wrap their heads around the fact that one of them has come back from the dead, “Neighbours” fans share their own opinions to justify Dee Bliss’ (Madeleine West) return. While some viewers believe that she has miraculously survived the car accident, others speculate that the woman is just pretending to Dee.

This week, Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) got the shock of their lives when Dee showed up at their doorstep. Dee is Toadie’s first wife, whom everyone believed got killed when he drove their car off the cliff after their wedding. Even though her body was never found, everyone concluded that she died. Thirteen years after that horrific incident, and with Toadie already happy and content with his wife and daughter, Dee comes back to rock their world.

Upon her arrival, she explained to Toadie that she hit her head on some rocks, which made her suffer from a brain injury and consequently, memory loss. Dee also shared that she was saved by a mysterious woman named Emily, who cared for her until she’s 100 percent okay. She then revealed that she got her memory back a year after the accident and even went back to Erinsborough on the day that Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner) married Max Hoyland (Stephen Lovatt). However, seeing that Toadie has already moved on with another woman, she decided not to show herself.

On the official Facebook page of “Neighbours,” fans expressed their theories over the story of Dee’s shocking return. Like Toadie, some viewers seemed to have bought Dee’s story, saying surviving the accident wasn’t too far-fetched. Meanwhile, the others remain unconvinced like Sonya, and reckon the woman is actually Dee’s sister, or even Emily. They claim the poser underwent plastic surgery to look exactly like Dee, and she went to Erinsborough for a mystery mission.

One give-away clue, they observed, was the fact that when she arrived at the Rebecchis’ house, she called her husband Toadie, and not Jarrod like she used to do. Despite her excuse of memory loss, it also seems suspicious that she vividly remembers some details like the accident, but totally blanks on some people like Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), as Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) pointed out.

Whatever the case may be, fans are happy to see West back in “Neighbours,” and she shares the feeling. In a video posted on the soap’s YouTube page [watch below], West shared that being on the set is like coming home. “It’s where I made my first formative steps into film and television and here I am, back again,” she said.

Dee’s arrival in Erinsborough has already rocked the boat for Toadie and Sonya, who are already having relationship issues because of the surrogacy. Fans are now split between Team Dee and Team Sonya, as they root for the woman they reckon is perfect for Toadie. Things are about to get even crazier, however, as Dee drops another shocking bombshell. Digital Spy reports that Dee and Toadie apparently have a daughter, whom he will meet this week.
