Channel Eleven posted a sneak peek of Friday’s episode. In the trailer, Ben wonders where Xanthe is and why she hasn’t turned up at his house. Meanwhile, Xanthe is doing her best to dodge the snake which is coming towards her. She keeps screaming for help but no one seems to hear her. Back at the Kennedys, Alison comes over and volunteers to help him with his project. The two kiss, but Ben pulls away.
Digital Spy reports that Piper finally finds Xanthe and attempts to help her. Clementine the cat saves the day, when it chased the snake away. Xanthe is happy to escape, but is disheartened to learn that Ben went out, especially when she sees him kissing Alison. Spoilers also indicate that the rivalry between Terese and Paul escalates – and so does the physical attraction between them.
“Neighbours” recap
On Thursday, Brad confronted Ned and Lauren after catching the two embracing. Lauren defended herself and said she wanted to make sure they’re okay before telling him about Ned. Brad didn’t like the fact that Lauren wasn’t upfront with Ned’s arrival, considering that secrets almost destroyed their relationship before. Lauren let it slip that she had a dream about her dead ex-husband, making the situation worse.
Meanwhile, Ned apologised to Brad for what happened. Brad asked his son if he still has feelings for Lauren and Ned said he has moved on. The two made up and shared a hug. Brad headed to Harold’s to clear the air with Lauren. Later, Lauren headed to Lassiters, where Brad organised a romantic set-up to pop the question again. This time, when Brad proposed, Lauren said yes. When the two shared the news with Piper and Ned, they looked happy for the engaged couple. However, Ned went outside, pulled a blonde hair from his wallet and looked pensive.
Jack gathered Amy, Xanthe and Sheila to inform them that he’s arranging a surprise for Poppy. He wanted to have some sort of a costume party with adventure and some games, and the ladies readily agreed. Meanwhile, Xanthe went over to the Kennedys to check on Elly. When Susan asked Xanthe to help her with her damsel in distress costume, they decided to make Ben the villain. Later, Jack and the others put their plans into action and the day of Adventure Girl began. Everybody was really into it, and it became an opportunity for Xanthe and Ben to start talking again. Ben invited her over that afternoon and she agreed.
Just as she was preparing for her date with Ben, Sheila asked Xanthe to put something in the tool shed. Xanthe did but when she turned around, she was shocked to see the snake dangerously approaching her.
