‘Neighbours’ spoilers for Feb. 16: Family feuds heat up; Ramsay Street intensifies manhunt for a thief
Suspicions and big revelations come into play on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours” as residents grapple with another mystery. On Thursday, Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou) finds herself in a deep quagmire after a priceless piece in the Lassiters’ exhibit disappears.
With the hotel’s investors on their way to town, she’s feeling completely flustered. Terese is determined to find the culprit but there’s a huge possibility that it’s her former flame, Gary Canning (Damien Richardson). Other “Neighbours” characters who will appear prominently on the Feb. 16 episode include Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner) and Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).
“Neighbours” also stars Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey), Dee Bliss / Andrea Somers (Madeleine West), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin), Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Paige Smith (Olympia Valance), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Ned (Ben Hall), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer) and David Tanaka (Takaya Honda).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Susan and Karl invite Sheila, Gary and Terese over for BBQ. As Karl serves his sausages, Gary becomes critical of the doneness, which leads into a debate of who cooks the better sausage. Susan says the Canning men really know their sausages, while Susan claims that Karl has been perfecting his for years.
The conversation turns a bit awkward when Terese pipes in and her comments sounded like sexual innuendos. “I have had a lot of sausages in my time, but Gary’s…wow. Just takes it to a whole other level,” she reveals. “Admittedly, I’ve only tried Gary’s sausage once for breakfast.” Seeing how Terese’s tirade makes everyone else uneasy, Gary challenges Karl to another BBQ so they can determine who has the better technique.
Digital Spy reports that the BBQ is Susan’s idea, who after learning about Ben and Xanthe’s relationship, wants to mend the fences with the Cannings. However, with the BBQ challenge, it appears that the battle isn’t over yet. Meanwhile, Terese has a more important problem to deal with: the missing crown. Unfortunately, Gary seems like a likely suspect, as well as Leo, who has a grudge against Terese.
“Neighbours” recap
On Wednesday, Dee informed Willow that Toadie’s willing to pay for her school fees that won’t be covered by the scholarship. However, Willow doesn’t want to accept his help – she already feels bad about deceiving him and the others. Later at Harold’s, Willow approached Sonya and, assuming that she knew about Toadie’s generous offer, thanked her for it.
Sonya rushed home and confronted Toadie about it. She blew her top, reminding him how expensive it would be. She said she felt like being rail-roaded into it and Toadie couldn’t help but fire back, arguing that he also has the same sentiments about raising someone else’s baby. He apologised right away for what he said, but the damage has been done. Meanwhile at Robinson’s, Willow and Dee were also arguing about the whole thing when Toadie dropped by their room. Frustrated and tired of pretending, Willow blurted out to him that she’s not his daughter.
When Willow walked off, Dee made up an excuse to explain the teen’s outburst. Willow headed to Sonya’s office to apologise and to recount her and her mum’s sad story. Sonya took pity on the young girl and went to Robinson’s to tell Toadie and Dee that she changed her mind: they should support Willow’s education as much as they can.
After the whole mess at The Flame Tree, Lassiters was chosen to be the venue for the Pieces of Hollywood exhibit. The highlight of the display was a beautiful bejewelled crown, which Susan couldn’t resist to try on, with Terese’s approval. Later, Paul and Terese were horrified to discover that the crown’s missing from its glass box. Terese headed to the Cannings to ask Sheila but she wasn’t able to offer any information. Sheila, along with Amy, offered to help find it. Amy suspected Leo’s behind the robbery and confronted him about it. Leo, however, said he had an alibi to prove his innocence: he played video games with Jack the entire evening.
Sheila suspected the Kennedys for taking the crown, pointing out that Susan tried it earlier. However, Terese didn’t agree with her and instead decided it’s time to get the police involved. She asked for Sheila and Gary’s keys but he said they’re missing, making his mum suspicious.
