“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, David urges Paige to go along his plans of pretending he’s the dad of her baby. He asks her, “Wouldn’t it be comforting to go through this with someone else? Every time you have an ultrasound you could have me there to share it with.” Paige admits that it’s pretty pathetic sitting in that waiting room and seeing all the other happy couples while she’s alone.

David presses on, saying that their strategy would throw Jack off track. Paige becomes confused and wonders, “Doesn’t this go against everything that you believe in? Given the circumstances of your dad?” David counters that he still believes the dad has the right to know. “You’re not in the position to tell him and I’m respecting the fact that it’s complicated,” he says. Paige reminds him that it would be a huge thing to take on. “I know what I’m getting myself in for,” he insists.

Digital Spy reports that David manages to convince Paige to accept his offer of pretending to be her baby’s dad. She plans to make the big announcement at her family’s Australia Day barbeque, but hesitates when she discovers that Jack will also be there. Also on Thursday, Leo and Aaron are quite busy with the opening of the backpackers hostel. The day turns into a nightmare when someone gets kidnapped. Elsewhere, Piper tries to take her mind off Tyler by splurging on something special.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, Sonya was still feeling uncomfortable that Toadie’s been spending a lot of time with Dee to help her have her memory back. Toadie reassured Sonya that he’s just helping her – nothing else. At Harold’s, Dee and Toadie caught up with each other’s lives, including Sonya. Later, Susan and Karl arrived, and the two couldn’t be more shocked to see Dee alive. As Susan and Karl were updating Dee about the lives of some Ramsay residents, Dee seemed to draw a blank on some of their neighbours, making Susan suspicious. She shared her doubts with Karl, who said Dee’s brain injury may be to blame.

Meanwhile, Mark asked Ellen permission to re-open Toadie’s car accident case, and she said she’ll handle the investigation. When Steph learned about it, she became upset to find out that Mark was doing it for Sonya. Later, Mark went over to the Rebecchis’ house and found Sonya freaking out. She’s feeling paranoid about Dee and Toadie, and Mark tried to comfort her. Mark told her about the ongoing investigation and asked if Toadie kept anything of Dee’s, hoping for a DNA sample. As Sonya and Mark went through Toadie’s things without asking, Toadie arrived with Dee. Caught red-handed, Mark had to explain what they’re doing. He suggested getting a sample from Dee’s relatives, but she said all of her relatives are dead.
